Iraqi militants accidentally kill 21 of their own Posted: 10 Feb 2014 03:38 PM PST BAGHDAD (AP) — An instructor teaching his militant recruits how to make car bombs accidentally set off explosives in his demonstration Monday, killing 21 of them in a huge blast that alerted authorities to the existence of the rural training camp in an orchard north of Baghdad. Nearly two dozen people were arrested, including wounded insurgents trying to hobble away from the scene. |

Large blast reported at New Hampshire ball bearing plant Posted: 10 Feb 2014 02:58 PM PST At least ten people were transported to a southern New Hampshire hospital after a "major explosion" at a ball bearing manufacturer on Monday, according to state and local officials who set up an emergency command center near the site. The fire department in nearby Jaffrey, New Hampshire, said on its Twitter feed that it had been called to respond to a "major explosion" at the New Hampshire Ball Bearings Inc location in Peterborough, located about 75 miles (120 km) northwest of Boston. Ten people were brought to Monadnock Community Hospital, with two others sent on to other facilities, Laura Gingras, a hospital spokeswoman, told reporters. "We have received a number of patients here at Monadnock Community Hospital," Gingras said. |

Without saying who has died, the fake emails invite the recipient to an upcoming "celebration of your friend's life service" and instruct the recipient to click a link for "more detailed information about the farewell ceremony."
