Odinga pulled out of the vote saying it would be unfair because the election board had failed to implement reforms after the Supreme Court cited procedural irregularities and annulled an Aug. 8 vote that had been won by Kenyatta. Odinga said the Oct. 26 result would not stand but did not announce measures likely to overturn it or force the government to negotiate. |

'Pick up your rubbish!' Angler catches deformed fish growing around plastic drink wrapper Posted: 01 Nov 2017 02:35 AM PDT A Canadian angler's photo of a fish growing around a plastic drink wrapper has shocked social media users. Adam Turnbull shared an image of the deformed fish he caught in the Saskatchewan River in Alberta, Canada, with the caption: "Pick up your garbage! "This is a Powerade wrapper which takes up no room in your pocket until you get to a garbage can," he wrote. He added the fish "bit and fought as it should", adding: "It was very much alive and released to hopefully have a chance. "Once I removed the plastic it took off like a dart. I'm sure it's gonna thrive now if it was able to survive with it." He believes the plastic was "likely tossed on the road, then blew into the river". "Littering on any level is unacceptable," he added. "I just want people to know something as small as this can have a devastating impact on the environment." He encouraged others to share his photos to raise awareness about looking after the environment. The photo provoked a strong reaction on social media, with one replying: "That's incredibly sad." Col Palmer wrote: "Takes one second of your time to place your trash in a bag and remove it! How would you feel if you had a load of rubbish and trash dumped in your kitchen? It's our planet let's look after it!" Shocking photo shows Caribbean Sea being 'choked to death by human waste' |

The drugmaker, which also announced third-quarter earnings, said it will combat generic competition for the drug by expanding its base business, reducing costs and possibly buying back stock. "But rest assured, we will do it rapidly." Allergan worked hard in recent years to protect Restasis, which generated about $1.5 billion in sales last year, from generic rivals. |
