Ohio officer charged with murder pleads not guilty, released on bond Posted: 30 Jul 2015 04:51 PM PDT A former University of Cincinnati police officer charged with murder in the shooting death of an unarmed black man he had stopped for a missing license plate was released from jail on bond hours after an initial court appearance on Thursday. Ray Tensing, 25, had pleaded not guilty in the death of 43-year-old Samuel DuBose before Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas Judge Megan Shanahan, who set his bond at $1 million. Tensing was indicted on Wednesday on murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the July 19 death of Samuel DuBose, who was shot in the head during a traffic stop. |
Two planes evacuated at Dallas airport, three injured Posted: 30 Jul 2015 01:34 PM PDT Two incidents on separate airplanes at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport led to evacuations on Thursday, with three people suffering minor injuries on one flight, airport officials said. Hydraulic fluid leaked into the auxiliary power unit causing smoke in the cabin of American Airlines Flight 1658 to Chicago, which caused the 141 passengers and five crew members to leave the airplane by emergency slides and exits, according to the airline. In the other incident at the airport, a landing gear tire caught fire shortly after Spirit Airlines Flight 407 landed from Orlando, Florida, the airport said. |
