Posted: 22 Nov 2018 06:08 AM PST In a massive new twist to the saga surrounding the brutal murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a bombshell new report in a Turkish newspaper now claims that the CIA finally has the evidence it needs to implicate Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of murder, according to Haaretz. Ever since the killing of Khashoggi in Istanbul's Saudi embassy in early October, Turkish media has steadily published reports accusing the Saudi administration of carrying out the execution. While Saudi Arabia denied any knowledge of the killing and pleaded innocence initially, the constant barrage of growing evidence has meant that it has had to alter its position on the killing. |

Yahoo News Explains: Who were the first Pilgrims in America? Posted: 22 Nov 2018 08:34 AM PST If you remember anything from history class, you already know a small group of people boarded the Mayflower in 1620 in hopes of a better life in America. A couple of the crew members had actually been to America before to fish or to explore. A man on the Mayflower, Stephen Hopkins, had tried to settle in the New World 10 years earlier but got shipwrecked in Bermuda. Shakespeare's renowned play "The Tempest" was allegedly based on that wreck. |

Korobov's 57-year-old first deputy, Vice Admiral Igor Kostyukov, has been appointed acting GRU chief and is likely become his successor, state news agency TASS said, citing a military source. |

Philips Anyang Ngong, a human rights lawyer who tried to stop the girl's sale, said the viral Facebook post was "the biggest test of child abuse, trafficking and auctioning of a human being." He called for all of those involved, including Facebook, to be held responsible. |

UTC gets Chinese nod for Rockwell Collins purchase, deal set to close Posted: 23 Nov 2018 08:48 AM PST United Technologies Corp on Friday received Chinese regulatory approval for its $30 billion purchase of aircraft parts maker Rockwell Collins Inc, clearing the final hurdle to complete the largest aerospace deal in history. The conditional approval for the deal between the two American industrial heavyweights comes during a period of escalating trade tensions between China and the United States. The dispute between the world's two largest economies had fanned concerns among UTC shareholders that the merger could fall victim to the growing tensions. |

Previously, the largest margin of victory was 8.7 million, which came in the 1974 midterm elections after the Watergate scandal and Richard Nixon's resignation. |

India police watch tribal island after killing of American Posted: 22 Nov 2018 09:41 PM PST Indian police reinforcements on Friday took up position near the island where isolated tribal hunters killed an American missionary, though no effort was to be made to recover his body, officials said. Hampered by restrictions on going to North Sentinel and the hostility of the Sentinelese people, Indian authorities are counting on the expertise of anthropologists and tribal welfare specialists to access the remains of 27-year-old John Allen Chau. Chau was killed by arrows fired by the Sentinelese hunter-gatherers last week after he illegally went ashore in an apparent attempt to convert the tribe to Christianity. |

Next McLaren supercar to debut next month Posted: 22 Nov 2018 08:17 AM PST McLaren has released teasers of what we can safely assume is the convertible version of the McLaren 720S Spider, which is to be unveiled December 8 -- who needs warm weather to ride a drop-top anyway? From the single image and 13-second video that the company shared Wednesday of what looks to be a convertible derivative of the McLaren 720S Spider, we can see pretty much see the entire exterior and get a taste of the interior. Despite the specs not being announced yet, we're reasonably confident that this car will have impressive power -- it is a supercar, after all. |
Trump hints could make first visit to Afghanistan Posted: 22 Nov 2018 10:57 AM PST Delivering a Thanksgiving holiday message by teleconference to troops in Afghanistan, Trump told a U.S. Air Force general he would see him back in the United States, before adding: "Or maybe I'll even see you over there. You never know what's going to happen." Recent U.S. commanders-in-chief have routinely visited troops in active war zones. Trump has come under criticism for failing to do so, though Vice President Mike Pence made a surprise trip to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan last December to visit troops. |

Lloyds CEO Must Explain Whistleblower Actions or Quit: Lawmaker Posted: 22 Nov 2018 04:45 AM PST "Our concerns relate to the allegations of the cover-up of the fraud, rather than the fraud itself," Kevin Hollinrake, a lawmaker who co-chairs the all-party parliamentary group on fair business banking, wrote in a letter to Antonio Horta-Osorio. While the incidents that led to criminal convictions occurred years ago, scrutiny of how Lloyds handled the affair has grown as the bank settled last week with the whistleblower, former risk officer Sally Masterton. It claimed some executives at HBOS hid the fraud at one of that bank's branches before Lloyds acquired the lender at the peak of the financial crisis. |

Since then, investigators have been doing DNA testing on recovered body parts. As of Friday, 125 people have been identified after testing on human remains that filled some 200 body bags, said Arthur Tampi, head of the national police medical centre. |
Authorities Struggle To Retrieve Body Of American Missionary Killed By Isolated Tribe Posted: 22 Nov 2018 07:13 AM PST Officials in India are contemplating how to obtain the body of an American tourist who was killed by a tribe of North Sentinel islanders, ABC News is reporting. As previously reported in the Inquisitr, missionary John Allen Chau traveled to a forbidden area last week in hopes of converting an isolated tribe to Christianity. The Sentinelese tribe has rejected modern society for thousands of years, and laws have been put in place over time forbidding outsiders from intruding on their lifestyle. ... |

Good Samaritan Catches Baby Thrown From Third Floor Of Raging Apartment Fire In Dallas Posted: 22 Nov 2018 05:22 AM PST Not everyone was in a cheery mood ahead of Thanksgiving — not least the people who found themselves at the center of a raging fire in a Dallas building. Early on Wednesday morning, unbeknownst to the residents of a building at Meadows on Ferguson in Northeast Dallas, its hallways began to fill with smoke. Shuntara Thomas, who lived on the third floor of the building with her husband and 1-year-old baby Kirsten, didn't know how to escape. |
