Kennedy International Airport after a bomb threat has been searched and cleared for service, an official said on Sunday. American Flight 67 en route from Barcelona, Spain, landed in New York at around noon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, and was promptly evacuated of passengers and crew. The threat was phoned into the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police at 12:07 p.m. (1707 GMT), said Joe Pentangelo, a spokesman for the Port Authority, which operates the airport. ... |
Missing Ohio State football player found dead: police Posted: 30 Nov 2014 03:38 PM PST (Reuters) - An Ohio State University football player who went missing earlier this week was found dead on Sunday, authorities said. Kosta Karageorge, 22, a fifth-year senior who was last seen early Wednesday morning, died of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and his body was found inside a Dumpster, the Columbus Police Department said on its Facebook page. His mother, Susan, told authorities earlier this week he has suffered several concussions and has had spells of being extremely confused, a police report said. ... |
